Let's Transform Healthcare in Israel Together!

We, physicians, psychologists, holistic therapists, scientists, and the general public, are joining forces to change the face of healthcare and medicine in Israel. With your help, we will integrate all branches of medical knowledge—conventional and alternative—into a unified and complete medical system for a new era of healthcare!

Key Partners in the Initiative

Roi & Tal Lotan

Roi and Tal co-founded the initiative. Roi was among the founders of the Interdisciplinary Institute for Science and Consciousness (in 2018, he left its management to focus on the "Holistic Healthcare" initiative). He developed the "Reflection Spaces" theory to unify physics and initiated the Velikovsky Project for Torah and Science. Tal is a psychology student. After being personally exposed to several alternative methods, they recognized the gap between the remarkable achievements of various practitioners and the public perception of the entire field. Together, they sought to bridge this gap. They concluded that the problem lies in the method—there is a need for a system and mechanism to objectively evaluate the quality of alternative treatments and integrate them into mainstream medical services. Thus, the initiative was born.

Dr. Nader Butto

A senior cardiologist at Rabin Medical Center and internationally renowned therapist, Dr. Butto developed a model for integrated holistic medicine that connects biological, psychological, spiritual, and social factors as interdependent and mutually influential. He applies the WHO definition of health as complete physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being. Dr. Butto has published several books in Italian, Hebrew, and English. Additionally, he developed a diagnostic method that links physical diseases to emotional crises, identifying how specific crises manifest as illnesses in corresponding organs. He lectures in Israel and across Europe, teaching his method in workshops in Israel, Italy, Switzerland, the UK, and Brazil.

Dr. Idan Saar

Doctor of Alternative Medicine (D.A.M). He teaches the "New German Medicine" method in courses primarily for therapists and physicians. This method presents a model—arguably the only scientifically recognized model in modern medicine—that reveals the true causes of various diseases. He treats patients with a wide range of illnesses, including cancer and severe conditions, using a holistic approach that integrates body and mind, along with emotional therapies. His treatments incorporate nutrition, dietary supplements, functional medicine, healing techniques, kinesiology, magnetotherapy, and subconscious pattern reinforcement.

Ruthi Karni Horowitz

Director of the "Art of Birth" school for training doulas and childbirth educators, a childbirth activist, head of the Doula Association, co-founder of the "Women Calling to Birth" movement for childbirth freedom in Israel, and an author of books and articles on childbirth.

Adi Shanan, M.Sc

Co-founder of the IPEC method, a leading therapist and senior instructor in the field in Israel since 1997. He has been practicing and lecturing since 1986. A graduate of Shiatsu and Reflexology, he holds a Master's degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from SAMRA University in California. He is also a certified NAET practitioner.

Dr. Zohar Yagil

Holds a PhD from the Faculty of Medicine at the Hebrew University, Israel-Canada Institute for Medical Research, specializing in the molecular biology of the immune system, cancer, and allergies. He serves as the Chairman of the Research and Development Department of the International Su-Jok Association in Nagpur, India, and the Chairman of the Israeli Su-Jok Association. He is an expert in Su-Jok, Sam Won Dong, and Smile Meditation and is an international lecturer and practitioner.

From "Complementary Medicine" to "Holistic Medicine"

Is so-called "complementary medicine" merely an adjunct to conventional medicine, or is it the other way around? Conventional medicine is primarily focused on curing pathologies, while complementary medicine aims for holistic healing—integrating all layers of the body and mind. Perhaps it is complementary medicine that actually provides the most comprehensive view of health?

Maybe the key to creating the ultimate medical system for the new era is to acknowledge and integrate all forms of medical knowledge with fairness and balance. Has the time come for a real integration of conventional and complementary medicine?

At "Holistic Healthcare - A New Era in Healthcare," we seek to create a new age in body and mind medicine—an era where every therapeutic method that proves its effectiveness receives the recognition it deserves and ultimately becomes part of the standard medical services. We envision a "holistic medicine" that generates true synergy between all medical knowledge, where various methods are integrated rather than merely complementing each other.

We aim for a new definition of health—one that transcends the mere absence of disease and embraces complete well-being—physical, mental, and social. These goals are achievable! We are paving the way for them while maintaining the highest scientific standards.

Our Vision

In 1946, the World Health Organization (WHO) defined "health" as follows:

"Health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease."

However, healthcare systems still primarily focus on treating illness—mainly its biochemical symptoms. In our initiative’s first meeting, we agreed that our vision is to create a healthcare system that truly embodies the WHO’s definition of health—not just as a slogan, but as a reality.

Interestingly, holistic medicine, which is currently categorized as "complementary," aligns more closely with this definition than conventional approaches. To achieve true health, we must establish an integrated healthcare system that addresses the body, mind, and social well-being.

Thus, we formulated the following vision:

A holistic healthcare system that enables and supports the achievement of optimal physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being.

(Note: Regarding the nature of the soul and spirit, we do not yet have complete clarity or agreement, and we leave these topics open for research.)

The Future of Healthcare: A New Era

Synergy – We will continuously integrate all wisdom, knowledge, and healing capabilities across medical fields to provide comprehensive well-being for everyone.

Integrated Medicine – Instead of conventional doctors working separately from complementary practitioners, all experts—including conventional specialists, psychologists, and alternative therapists—will collaborate to determine the best treatments for each case.

Holistic Research – Treatment data will be collected for research, allowing us to analyze and publish studies on the effectiveness of different healing methods and new therapeutic combinations.

Health Education – By identifying disease factors holistically, we can offer well-informed recommendations for disease prevention, healthy lifestyles, and public health education.

Quality Control – We will track success rates, ensuring that participating therapists meet high professional standards, providing patients with confidence in their treatments.

Collaboration with Healthcare Systems – We aim to integrate with existing healthcare frameworks, collaborating with hospitals’ complementary medicine departments where possible and establishing new institutions if needed.

Current Status & Future Plans

Our initiative launched in May 2017 with a focus on defining our vision, objectives, and core partners. We later established a Public Benefit Company (PBC) as our organizational and financial infrastructure, a non-profit model similar to an NGO.

In September 2018, we officially registered the company "Integrated Health Services" with government approval. Despite challenges, including the COVID-19 crisis in 2020, our work continues with committed partners dedicated to reshaping Israel’s healthcare system.

Key achievements so far:

Established the Israeli Representative Body for Healing Methods

Created a national treatment method database

Launched a Holistic Consultation Service

Developed scientific review archives on holistic health

Introduced a monitoring system to assess treatment effectiveness

Join us in building a new era of healthcare!
